The North Iowa Area Community College, generally recognized as NIACC, is one of the first public institutions located in Mason City, Iowa.

The college took off in 1918 with 28 students and 6 instructors. Currently, there are over 3700 students with more or less 300 staff. With 17:1 student faculty ratio and an average class of 20-30 students, NIACC ensures that there is a direct interaction between the students and their professors.

The countryside campus is spread over 500 acres of land and consists of many facilities. It features children's productions and Broadway musicals and has been a place of outstanding guests like Jeff Corwin, Barbara Bush, Lou Holtz, Rebecca Lobo and many more. This has remained the center of attraction throughout and brings more people to Iowa.
